Commentary on developments in the endless dispute between evolution and creationism.

Completely agree. Even though it falls slightly short of masterpiece, it sure leaves most of the blockbusters of the last couple years in the dust. Action, atmosphere... and a bit of a brain!
And I, in turn, agree with you. I'll definitely have to go read the graphic novel. I understand that Alan Moore was unhappy with the adaptation, and I noticed that he didn't get a credit at the beginning of the film (it said only, “Based on the graphic novel illustrated by...”). I don't know the cause of the dispute. He had to have been happier with this one than with From Hell and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, though.Incidentally, did you check out that juggling video I posted a few days ago? Pretty sweet!
Jason,Always love your blog.By all means go read the V For Vendetta graphic novel. It is fantastic. Moore specifically requested his name be taken off the movie. He has not been happy with any adaptation, but I don't see how any writer really could be.And if for any reason you have never read Watchmen-read it. Today. It truly is Moore's masterpiece. I read it at least once a year and never fail to find something new in it. These are truly comics as literature.
If I'm not mistaken, Alan Moore simply didn't want to have anything to do with it right from the start because he hasn't been happy with any previous Hollywood dealings. He didn't think there was any chance of it being a pleasant experience so he bowed out early. I think he's more pissed with publishers for holding on to his IP longer than he wanted them to. Something to do with his IP being handed back to him after they stop being printed, but the publishers simply never stopped printing them!Check out his Wiki entry for more (and more correct) details. And some great quotes, too! He is nothing if not a quotable man.
