I had intended to do a rousing, in your face post about the breathtakingly stupid evolution segment that showed up on MSNBC's Scarborough Country (guest host Pat Buchanan) last night. Sadly, the folks at MSNBC don't quite have their act together. The link that is supposed to take you to the transcript of last night's show actually leads you to the transcript of Countdown with Keith Olberman. Until that link is corrected, I think I'll just froth in private.

In the meantime, enjoy these cartoons over at Evolving Thoughts. Funny!

Light blogging today. Me and the cats are going to be watching the big finale of The Apprentice tonight. Will it be Kelly or Jennifer? Stay tuned!

Very almost starts to feel sorry for poor Dave Silverman until one remembers the savage pack behavior openly prevailing in fora like the Panda's Thumb (despite its unmistakable congruity with the Darwinian theme).

It's not entirely clear, given Silverman's many obvious misconceptions, how anyone could hope to defend his position, including Silverman himself. It certainly couldn't be successfully defended against me, and I can think of at least a dozen others who could easily slice it, dice it, deep fat fry it and serve it back to him with a steaming side of crow. Indeed, if we were all to draw straws for the privilege of dismantling Silverman and I were to win, his arguments' chances of survival would not exceed 0%.

That's why I'm wondering what sort of defense Jason could possibly have in mind. He might as well have offered to defend Lucifer against a charge of sour grapes.
